Borics expressed his satisfaction at finally securing this long-awaited fight:
« It’s been a long time coming. We’ve both had our eyes on each other. He was the Bellator champion, and I was supposed to fight him for the title before Patricio Pitbull’s rematch. My goal is always to compete against the best, and I believe he’s at the top of the division right now. When I defeat him, I intend to make a significant statement. »
