The competition for AS Monaco`s 21-year-old midfielder Soungoutou Magassa is intensifying. West Ham United and Nottingham Forest have both registered their interest, with Serie A club Atalanta now also joining the race.
West Ham are reportedly in advanced negotiations, having submitted an initial offer of €16 million plus €2 million in bonuses. While Monaco made a counter-proposal, they are open to selling their academy product before the transfer window closes. Magassa himself has reportedly given his consent for a move to West Ham, where he would sign a six-year contract. Atalanta presents a late challenge, with their interest described as strong, though they have yet to submit a formal bid.

La concurrence pour le milieu de terrain de l`AS Monaco, Soungoutou Magassa, âgé de 21 ans, s`intensifie. West Ham United et Nottingham Forest ont tous deux manifesté leur intérêt, et le club de Serie A, l`Atalanta, a désormais rejoint la course.
West Ham serait en négociations avancées, ayant soumis une offre initiale de 16 millions d`euros plus 2 millions d`euros de bonus. Bien que Monaco ait fait une contre-proposition, le club est ouvert à la vente de son produit de l`académie avant la clôture du mercato. Magassa lui-même aurait donné son accord pour un transfert à West Ham, où il signerait un contrat de six ans. L`Atalanta représente un défi de dernière minute, son intérêt étant décrit comme fort, bien qu`il n`ait pas encore soumis d`offre formelle.
