The final day of CEV EuroBeachVolley 2025 commenced with two thrilling men`s semi-finals, culminating in a highly anticipated final match.
The highly awaited gold medal clash will feature the Olympic champions: Norway`s Mol and Sørum (Tokyo 2020 goldists) against Sweden`s Åhman and Hellvig (Paris 2024 goldists). Both teams fought hard in their respective semi-final matches against formidable Dutch opponents, who also delivered an outstanding tournament performance.
The Norwegian « Vikings, » already four-time European champions, are aiming for their fifth title, a feat they haven`t achieved since 2021. Their current opponents, the Swedes, secured their first European title in 2022, followed by a double win just a year later.
After a demanding Olympic campaign last year, both teams opted out of the European Championships to recover. However, they are now back, fully prepared, and determined to reclaim their top spot.
The bronze medal match, an all-Dutch encounter, is set for 4:00 PM CEST, followed by the gold medal final at 5:15 PM CEST.
La journée finale du CEV EuroBeachVolley 2025 a débuté avec deux demi-finales masculines passionnantes, aboutissant à un match final très attendu.
Le très attendu affrontement pour la médaille d`or opposera les champions olympiques : les Norvégiens Mol et Sørum (médaillés d`or à Tokyo 2020) aux Suédois Åhman et Hellvig (médaillés d`or à Paris 2024). Les deux équipes ont livré des performances acharnées lors de leurs demi-finales respectives contre de redoutables adversaires néerlandais, qui ont également réalisé un tournoi exceptionnel.
Les « Vikings » norvégiens, déjà quadruples champions d`Europe, visent un cinquième titre, un exploit qu`ils n`ont pas réalisé depuis 2021. Leurs adversaires du jour, les Suédois, ont remporté leur premier titre européen en 2022, suivi d`un doublé juste un an plus tard.
Après une campagne olympique exigeante l`année dernière, les deux équipes avaient choisi de ne pas participer aux Championnats d`Europe pour récupérer. Cependant, elles sont maintenant de retour, entièrement préparées et déterminées à retrouver leur place au sommet.
Le match pour la médaille de bronze, un duel entièrement néerlandais, est prévu à 16h00 CEST, suivi de la finale pour la médaille d`or à 17h15 CEST.
