Stuttgart’s winger, Jamie Leweling, has been compelled to exit the German national team’s training camp after sustaining a calf injury.
Consequently, Germany will proceed without Leweling for their forthcoming friendly matches scheduled against Switzerland and Ghana.
The German Football Association (DFB) confirmed on Tuesday that the VfB Stuttgart forward had to withdraw from the national squad owing to muscular issues in his calf.
Although Leweling initially joined the Germany camp, subsequent medical evaluations led to his immediate return to Stuttgart for recovery.
Reports from Sky Germany indicate that head coach Julian Nagelsmann does not intend to call up a substitute player for Leweling’s position.
This incident follows previous injury withdrawals from the squad, including Aleksandar Pavlović of Bayern Munich and Felix Nmecha from Borussia Dortmund. Their spots were filled by Stuttgart teammates Angelo Stiller and Chris Führich, who were called in as replacements.

L’ailier de Stuttgart, Jamie Leweling, a été contraint de quitter le camp d’entraînement de l’équipe nationale allemande après avoir subi une blessure au mollet.
En conséquence, l’Allemagne devra se passer de Leweling pour ses prochains matchs amicaux prévus contre la Suisse et le Ghana.
La Fédération allemande de football (DFB) a confirmé mardi que l’attaquant du VfB Stuttgart avait dû se retirer de la sélection nationale en raison de problèmes musculaires au mollet.
Bien que Leweling ait initialement rejoint le camp allemand, des examens médicaux ultérieurs ont entraîné son retour immédiat à Stuttgart pour sa convalescence.
Selon des informations de Sky Germany, l’entraîneur principal Julian Nagelsmann n’a pas l’intention de convoquer un joueur de remplacement pour la position de Leweling.
Cet incident fait suite à des retraits pour blessure antérieurs au sein de l’équipe, notamment ceux d’Aleksandar Pavlović du Bayern Munich et de Felix Nmecha du Borussia Dortmund. Leurs places ont été occupées par leurs coéquipiers de Stuttgart, Angelo Stiller et Chris Führich, qui ont été appelés en renfort.
